Andy and WTCC 2010
An amazing record of success!
This season Andy is competing for his 6th season in the FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC). This is also an amazing 8th straight season with BMW Team UK and RBM.
Andy is bidding to add an unprecendented fourth title to his unique three-in-a-row from 2005-2007 in the world's premier touring car championship. Read our WTCC guide and follow the calendar and results to see how things are going.
The WTCC grew out of the successful European Touring Car Championship (ETCC) and is one of only 3 full world titles awarded by the FIA, the governing body of world motorsport. The winner shares the podium with the Formula 1 and World Rally Champions in Monaco at the end of the season.
The WTCC series features tight and exciting racing between compact midsize 2000cc cars that are direct descendents of models available in showrooms. It is heavily supported by the major car manufacturers BMW, SEAT and Chevrolet as well as by independent teams. You can spot Andy's car with its distinctive Union Jack livery > car spotting
With 11 rounds of 2 races each at prestigious circuits in Europe, Asia, Africa and South America, the 22 race season runs from March to November > calendar and results
WTCC is covered live by Eurosport as well as many national terrestrial stations. Full news and television schedules can be found on www.fiawtcc.com
